Western Welding Academy operates out of Gillette, Wyoming, training students from all 50 states in pipe and structural welding. Founded in 2019 by Tyler Sasse, the school was built by welders for welders. Our mission is to deliver high-earning careers through intensive, hands-on training that mirrors the demands of real job sites. Every day, our instructors work side by side with students in the welding booth, providing real-time coaching on technique, safety, and code compliance.Our facility runs five days a week with programs ranging from 12 to 24 weeks. Students spend 85% of their training time welding in the booth, not sitting in a classroom. Our instructors bring 330+ combined years of pipeline, structural, and specialty welding experience to the training floor. They are the backbone of what makes Western Welding Academy different from other trade schools.We are always looking for qualified welding professionals, shop assistants, administrative staff, and campus support team members who share our commitment to building the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
