I grew up on a ranch, and hobbies that I enjoy doing include riding horses, roping, camping, fishing, and spending time with my kids. I started working for a small welding shop when I was in the 6th grade. When I was 14 years old, I started welding in the oilfield. From there I just knew that welding was the career that I wanted to pursue. I currently have 19 years of field experience. I was drawn to Western Welding Academy by the people who worked there. What I enjoy most about teaching is the diversity in teaching methods, and the feedback I get from the students. I find gratification through all the small victories and being able to share my love for the welding industry with the students.
