Bill Widrig

I started welding in High School and wasn’t a huge fan at first. However, “I was told once that I would never be a welder, and I was determined to prove that statement wrong”. Later I fell in love with the challenges and all the rewards that you gain from welding. I have been welding for the last 30 years and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else. Some things I enjoy doing on my spare time is riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles, traveling backroads, and seeing new places, I really enjoy steak, but the most important thing is I love spending time with my family.

I look forward to coming to work every day because I have such a rewarding job. Being able to watch the students’ overcome hurdles and challenges brings me pride. The most gratifying part of my job is watching the students succeed and seeing their faces when the concept “Clicks”. Working at Western Welding Academy has changed my prospective of our new generation by their determination for results, their want for knowledge, and their drive to push themselves to be better each day. I have met students from all over and country and I am grateful that I can share my welding knowledge with the students here at WWA.
